The New Firefox 3 Browser Is Available

Author JoeDigital

In case you haven’t heard, Firefox version 3 was released on June 17th, and by June 18th over 8 million copies had been downloaded. It may take a week or two for the results to be in, but estimates say this may set a Guinness World Record for the most downloads of a single software package to ever take place in a day, by more than 3 million! Some estimates say that’s a 4% market share of browsers on the first day of its release, and nothing has ever done that before in the history of the world wide web.

If you missed the grand opening,
download Firefox 3 from Mozilla.org.

I have the new version and I absolutely love it. I’ve been a Firefox user for years now and they just keep getting bigger and better. I never touch my IE browser anymore, and since I have been using Firefox, spyware creeping into my computer has went down tremendously. I can see why there were so many downloads. Firefox is awesome and well worth it.

Yeah, Firefox 3 is absolutely delightful. I mean it is so stable that you just love it. New interface and features, just delight. Only thing sad about it is that some extensions of Firefox 2 don’t work on Firefox 3 but those too are updating and should work fine in some time to come. Frankly one of the better browsers out there.

I am also a fan of firefox and currently using the newer version. Its indeed more secure and fast as comapred to previous versions. I think Firefox is far better than IE because it comes with endless customization possibilities and add ons.
