We’ve heard about go-green gadgets like solar powered cell phones, gadgets mad of earth-friendly materials and other eco-friendly alternatives to the gadgets we use every day. This time we’ve got the Solar Gorilla Laptop Charger spotted on the market. The brand name very much speaks for itself – a solar powered laptop charger.

The thing is actually as big as a laptop and can be mistaken for one until it is opened, revealing two solar panels. Using its 20V socket, 5V USB port and a few more connectors, the Solar Gorilla can power up just any laptop, notebook, and even cell phones well within two to three hours, assuming that the solar panels are exposed to enough sunlight.

While the only disadvantage that is directly seen in this product is that if you move around much, you’ll be carrying with you basically two laptops, at $280, this device can probably save you a lot in so many ways in the long run. Plus, you’re helping the environment as well.
