PS2 price cut on horizon of PS4 release news?

Sony today announced a price cut for the PS2 to 100$ down about 25%. Industry rumors that Sony is about to release news about a new PS3 browser and online content for the PS3. We have also heard of rumor that the new PS4 is not far off in the horizon. With the release date for PS4 already in Japan it should be not far off until north america gets in.
