Samsung released a super-slim LCD monitor designed to be used in hospitals, large shopping malls, and airports.

Samsung unveiled the 460UTn, a large LCD monitor with an super-slim bezel that is thin enough to install a number of screens right next to each other, minimizing the disconnection among the screens to make it possible to set up a huge ‘video wall’.

The monitor is 46 inches long with only 4.3 mm thick in its left bezel and 2.4 mm thick for its right bezel, reducing the space between each monitor screens to a mere 7.3 mm, which is a 75 percent reduction compared to the previous model.

Independent of the shape of the wall, the monitor is able to be installed with the lines in a wall as it tilts outwards up to 40 degrees.
Samsung said, “The monitor won the CES 2009 Innovation Award and it also proves the competitive edge of the new monitor.”
