Computers – OLPC Laptops: XO
Author JoeDigital
Laptops are no more a ‘no entry zone’ for kids; OLPC (One Laptop per Child) XO is here, the rough and rugged one with a cute look and focused immensely on kids.
The vibrant combination of white and green and a look directly borrowed from the Flintstones is taking its baby steps to the latest vision for technology and youth. The grown up s may find it a little weird but who cares because the kids are going to love it. The rubber membrane wrapped keyboard and the hard pressed keypad compliments the food smeared tiny fingers and a pack of surprise once you open this ‘toy’ or as you want to call it. The core of Fedora Linux, heavily-molded gives you a different experience all together regarding file, desktops and even icon management and trust me kids are going to learn to master this PC faster than grown ups and the older ones are going to have a tough time with its hardware as well as the software.
