A long time has been since the first Pontiac was realize, who can’t remember those amazing machines, with so much power and unique designs, but now with the actual problems of the crisis in the world Pontiac will disappear. It means that Detroit will focus in 4 lines brands: Chevrolet, Cadillac, GM and Buick.
Manufacture department will close factories in EU, from 48 working factories in 2008, will be 34 at the end of 2010, in other words, It will has a decrease of 28 % and also in 2012 will be 31 factories.
Employees will be reduce to 7 or 8 thousand, more than they expect in last February 17th, the reason is because the lines productivity will be reduce so drastically.

For example “Similar Images” which eschews actual image recognition like Apple’s recent iPhoto (which can recognize faces) in favor of a user refined search, driven by metadata. All the users of iPod touch use it to listen music and play some entertainment games o applications, but the U.S. government has taken the iPod touch and extended the device to serve functions that Apple likely never dreamed of. In the past, handheld devices for soldiers were large and costly devices that tended to be very narrowly focused in what they could do. Microsoft announced the new version of Microsoft office and related products, Chis Capossela, senior vice president of Microsoft’s, said that they will find out more about how the next version of Microsoft Office/related products will deliver a synchronized experience across devices and provide greater choice and flexibility for customers.
Capossela: We’re announcing that Microsoft will begin releasing new versions of Office-related products this year. Exchange 2010 will be the first product in this lineup, entering beta for customers to download today. Exchange 2010 will become available in the second half of 2009. Office 2010 — including Office Web applications, SharePoint Server 2010, Visio 2010 and Project 2010 — will enter a technical preview in the third quarter of 2009 and will release to manufacturing in the first half of 2010.

Here is a rumor that is certainly changing the internet world: Google is in late stage negotiations to acquire Twitter. The prices it is not known but it can be imagine in a $250 million valuation that they saw in their recent funding.

Twitter turned down an offer to be bought by Facebook just a few months ago for half a billion dollars, although that was based partially on overvalued Facebook stock. Google would be paying in cash and/or publicly valued stock, which is equivalent to cash. So whatever the final acquisition value might be, it can’t be compared apples-to-apples with the Facebook deal.

A USA company unveiled a flying hotel, Hotelicopter.

It is based on Russian helicopter, ‘Mil V-12′. The hotel has 12 rooms, a business center, a fitness center, wall pools, spas, an art gallary, yoga spaces, a casino and a Japanese garden.
The expected cruising speed is 237km/h and maximum speed is 255km/h.

A guy who played Nintendo Wii Jogging died suddenly in England.

He was in charge of the leader of the Boy Scouts and usually enjoyed fishing and playing drum.
His mother said, “While he was playing Wii, he was even calling friend. And after he finished playing Wii, he drank wine. But right after he hung up the phone, he passed out.
The police speculate that it was a sudden death caused by arrhythmia. But they didn’t announce it officially.

It is hanging in the balance.

It looks like Earth hour last night March 28th 2009 8:30 Local time was a huge success! according to earth hour supporters. WWF called the event, which began in Australia in 2007 and grew last year to 400 cities worldwide, “the world’s first-ever global vote about the future of our planet.” According to news sources Vancouvers Earth hour decreased electricity use during that hour by 16%, other citys where as low as 1% less electricity during that hour (coincidence?), pretty lame seeming that when I looked outside during that hour I could see all my neighbors with their lights on while I powered my apartment with a bunch of candles.. I hope to see more participation next year.
