Windows XP recommended by IBM

Author JoeDigital | 10.01.2008 | Category Windows

When you shop online for your new computer, you could observe that almost all manufacturers recommend Windows Vista along with their computer either on their website or retail stores.

For people who will use the computer in their home, they all recommend Home Premium version of Windows Vista. For business usages, it is Vista Business. Almost all manufacturers sell the new Windows Vista versions and recommend it too. Along in this battle is IBM which recommends Windows XP and not the new version Windows Vista. IBM still sells their refurbished computers with Windows XP and recommends it strongly. There are reasons behind it are they could be either IBM has not updated their webpage in over a year by now or perhaps the refurbished computers still hold Windows XP or there is no love obviously for Microsoft from IBM and hence, IBM may have found windows XP a cheap shot.

Windows’s Next version from Microsoft will support multi touch features that are complex.

It is referred as Windows 7 and the operating system is going to receive an update of Windows technology which will allow contacts which have multiple points and options of input that is more complex and significant in comparison to iPhone. This sort of allusion only confirms the increasing focus that Microsoft has set towards touch screen devices. Microsoft has been a proponent for long of tablet PCs and input touch in Mobile Windows but has provided typically control through single contact point and has designed largely the interfaces with stylus all around but no fingers. Apple handset users are known to be blown away by this windows addition. Dell has revealed a new Latitude XT tablet that posses a touch screen capacitive which accepts inputs that are multi touch and with no stylus around but this will require drivers.
