An aquarium filled with exotic fish here is using an electric eel to power lights on a Christmas tree.

Each time the electric eel at the Aqua Toto Gifu aquarium touches a copper wire in its tank, it sends power that lights up globes decking a Christmas tree. Electric eels can generate between 100-500Volts of power every time they move.

Officials expect the “eel Christmas tree” to be a popular attraction for dating couples in the lead-up to Christmas Day, when the tree will be removed.

Electric eels are capable of generating electricity in their bodies. They have notoriously poor eyesight and use electric shocks to stun prey so they can catch and eat them.

I finally broke down and bought a puti puti Electronic bubble wrap keychain by Ban Dai. At first I was not impressed as this toy seemed like it was overrated and hyped up, it didn’t even feel like real bubble wrap. After pressing the buttons about 50 times I found some neet and somewhat addicting features such as the random sounds of pigs, toilets and beeps that come out now and then. i-Sobot

The new affordable at $300, i-Sobot comprises of 17 motors which could recognize words spoken and can be remotely controlled, make the walk, karate chopping, somersaulting robot and is very close being a humanoid toys can get. I-Sobot has an important feature that any human will love which is, no assembly required for this toy. Many other robots are available which looks like humans but this i-Sobot is a significant improvement. Other robots cost $1000 and require lot of time and effort to assemble their motors, wiring, painting and metal frames. Also, they require programming in a computer. I-Sobot cannot be called a perfect toy as the toy been built only to recognize 10 commands of voice like Look out, how are you. I-Sobot even is taught to mimic a chicken, bending forward and clucking in order to make a peck during the period of arms being spread like wings. I-Sobot posses a light, like Cyclops down in the center of the head and on the side with a blue light blinking.

Yet another ultra hard to read but cool watch from Tokyo flash.

With the distinct design edge expected at Tokyoflash, this dark yet irresistible watch features a streamlined black IP coated stainless steel body and strap and stunning white LED display.

The outer ring of LED’s indicate the hour, the second ring indicates single minutes and the third, inner ring, indicates the minutes in groups of tens. It’s easy to follow as the position of the lights is the same as 1-12 on a regular clock dial. The watch also has a date mode which can be read in a similar manner and is activated by a second push of the button.
