Japan CFD released SSD Drive. It features 2.5’’ MLC (multi-level cell) based on NAND flash memory and SATA 3.0 Gbps Interface cache memory. It has 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacity. Each model has different performance. 32GB and 64GB have 200MB/s for read, 95MB/s for write. 128GB and 256GB have 240MB/s for read, 150MB/s for write.

New netbooks with android coming soon

MSI is reportedly preparing to unveil a netbook running Google’s Android. This would make it one of several companies producing very low cost laptops based on the new operating system. Android was originally created by Google to run on smartphones, but many companies have seen its potential as an alternative operating system for netbooks. Other netbook makers are also working on very low cost notebooks running Google’s operating system such as HP, Acer and the Skytone Alpha-680.

Samsung introduced cool netbook that last up to 11 hours on battery power alone reportedly. – a very impressive number.
Naoto Fukasawa designed it like as a handy back or wallet. It looks familiar and natural. It weights only 1.23kg(including battery) but it has 11-hours power supply with high capacity battery. –it lasts up to 5 hours with normal battery. And it features Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB HDD, Intel’s GMA 950 graphics processing, a 1024 x 600 screen, and, of course, built-in WiFi. It will be available for about CAD$850.

Sharp, World’s First Mini Notebook with ‘Optical LCD’

Japan Sharp will release world’s first mini notebook with ‘Optical Sensor LCD’, ‘Mebius’ (PC-NJ70A) in May.

This cool notebook has optical sensor on touch pad so you can write down and control the LCD using your fingers. It is available for 80,000 Yen.

It features 10.1’’ Display, Intel Atom N270 Processor, 1GB Memory, 160GB hard disk, the size of 260×190×23.3~39.8mm and the weight of 1.46kg.
Some cool applications are ready such as software that you can draw pictures with touch pen and add it to your email, game that plays the piano.

Sharp plans to open new platform that users can develop software using optical LCD in June.

Bluetooth 3.0

It is time for a new devices, process and also speed of transfer,   at this time everybody has a Bluetooth one a cellular or what ever you have it. Now it is announced the new Bluetooth 3.0 with a speed of 23 Mbps was officialy launched during a recent meeting among the Bluetooth Special Interest Group.  The technology is based on Wi-Fi standards and offers power-saving benefits that weren’t available with Bluetooth 2.1.

Epson Cool Multi Touch X-Desk

These days it is not surprising to see a multi-touch table with all of
them working with Beam Projector technology. Here is a new type of multi
touch table that uses infrared cameras, Smart Tags and gesture recognition
technology.

The X-Desks’ new additions will include capabilities of simultaneously
recognizing 16,000 objects at a time, voice command integration, 1,024 x
768 resolution, a connection panel housing Fire Wire and USB connections,
wireless keyboard/mouse compatibility and an Epson 3LCD projector.

It is not certain what the cost of the X-Desk will be, but Epson is
already taking orders.

Samsung, Mobile Hard Disk Spin Point M7

Samsung announced they will mass-produce 6.35cm Mobile hard disk, Spin point M7(HM500JI) which has 500GB capacity.
M7 improves performance, power consumption and crashworthiness comparing with former models. According to ‘PC Mark Test’ –official system performance program, it has 18% improvement of performance, 30% reduction of power consumption, and 18% betterment of crashworthiness.
In addition, it is designed through ‘Silent Seek’ and ‘Noise Guard’ to minimize noise. Samsung applies ‘Halogen-free’ so it should be environmentally-friendly.
It is available now in USA and Europe.

HP is supposed to cut down the price of game desktop they released earlier this year, Firebird 802.
From regular price of $1,799, they lowered the price to $1,645 and then they will lower price to $1,299. It features Core 2 Quad 9400 Processor, 4GB RAM, 500GB Hard drive capacity and Dual NVIDIA GeForce 9800S (Each card has 512M DDR Memory) graphic card. And it supports HDMI, DVI Video output, 6 USB 2.0 Interface, 2 e-SATA Ports and S/PDIF.

The new HP dv2 with Blu-ray drive. The ultra-portable features a 12.1 inch screen, up to a 500GB hard drive, up to 4GB of RAM, and up to a 512MB ATI graphics card to work that Blu-ray magic. The dv2 is running on AMD’s new Yukon platform, a new design from AMD competing with Intel’s ULV single core processors (Celeron and the like).
