Samsung’s new touch phone, Zet is unveiled. It has Samsung 6410 processor run with 800MHz, 5-mega pixel camera, 3.1’’ WVGA AMOLED display and Dolfin browser based on web kit.
Samsung makes it a non-smartphone by adding Touchwiz 2.0 UI and Samsung OS. It is impressed that it supports MS Exchange Active Sync that we only use on smartphone even though not concerning DivX Video play function. And it also contains On Board Navigation function with A-GPS. There is no source about release date.

Samsung, Omnia Pro B7610 instead of Louvre B7610

Samsung announced officially slide type phone ‘Omnia Pro B7610’ instead of ‘Louvre B7610’.
Omnia Pro B7610 has 3.5’’ WVGA AMOLED display, 800MHz and 5-mega pixel camera. It is told that it will be released in August with Windows Mobile 6.1 not officially but it is certain that it will support Mobile 6.5 upgrade.

Google Android Phone by HTC

Google Phone is now available in Canada. HTC has released 2 new phones with the google phone “Android” platform with Rogers wireless. The HTC Dream and HTC Magic both feature touch screen, all the Google applications such as Gmail, Search, YouTube and Maps and Outlook synchronization. The new Google android phones from Rogers are available starting at 30$ for a 6GB data plan. The Google Android phone is set to revolutionize the cell phone market with its mix of cell phone technology and the look and feel of a desktop.

Sony unveiled cool concept cell phone, Black Tribute designed by Jaren Goh, it features a 3.2-megapixel camera, a lightweight aluminum case with a satin finish, and a super wide touch screen display. We don’t know other technical features because it is designed for concept phone. But it looks like a multi function device, not a cell phone.

Nokia’s E52 brings 8 hours of talk, 23 days of standby

Can you believe it is possible to talk 8 hours continuously with slim body!! Nokia announced the latest E series model, E52 that has amazing spec. In addition, it lasts 23 days with standby.
It features A-GPS, WiFi, HSUPA and 3.2 mega-pixel camera. You can interlock E52 with intranet to use interphone or email service of company. It is possible to use Nokia Messanging, Exchange and Lotus Note when you use an email service. It will be available later this year for 245 euro –not including tax.

Android Phone Transformed to A Metal Detector!?

I think you have already heard that it is possible to control robots using Android phone (G1) and amazing applications keep being shown up. At this time, someone transformed Android phone to a metal detector using special application.
This is possible using a compass module settled in a phone. It detects small changes of the magnetic field and then judges weather metals are near the phone or not. Actually we can see an accurate and well-functioned metal detector in airport but it is surprised that we can utilize cell phone as a metal detector. Here is a video which shows how it works.

Phone Arena got Samsung Omnia HD which has 8 mega-pixel camera and 3.7’’ AMOLED display and announced review on it. It supports HD resolution(720p) record and play. And it is impressive that it has unbelievable better life and suitable size, not too big and small. But finger prints are easily remained on its surface and it is out of focus because of direct sunlight. But they are general problem on other cell phones. Omnia HD that is supposed to release in second-quarter in Europe runs Symbain S60.
