Apple: Mac can be prone to viruses
Author JoeDigital

Many people have been getting the Mac lately, and so far people have been giving them their thumbs up. But if you plan to get a Mac because people say it’s almost immune to the kind of viruses that Windows users suffer from, then you might reconsider. Apple has actually pointed out that viruses might actually be able to find their way into the systems soon.
It seems that the immunity was brought about by the disinterest of anyone in making a virus to specifically attack Mac because it would generally be pointless. But now that people have considered the OS as a staple for those who can afford it, virus makes might be turning their heads now.
As of the moment Apple stresses that Mac users should load up on anti-viruses, even stating that either or more of Symantec Norton Anti-virus 11, Intego Virus Barrier X5, or McAfee Virus Scan might spare users from any possible future attacks.
