Earth hour a huge success
Author JoeDigital | 29.03.2009 | Category world news
It looks like Earth hour last night March 28th 2009 8:30 Local time was a huge success! according to earth hour supporters. WWF called the event, which began in Australia in 2007 and grew last year to 400 cities worldwide, “the world’s first-ever global vote about the future of our planet.” According to news sources Vancouvers Earth hour decreased electricity use during that hour by 16%, other citys where as low as 1% less electricity during that hour (coincidence?), pretty lame seeming that when I looked outside during that hour I could see all my neighbors with their lights on while I powered my apartment with a bunch of candles.. I hope to see more participation next year.

The Nature Neuroscience study raises the possibility of using a video game training regime to improve vision. From news.bbc.co.uk This means that those hours of playing Killzone and World Of Warcraft are finally paying off in the long run.

New Nintendo DSi vs PSP 3000
Author JoeDigital | 28.03.2009 | Category Video Games

The long awaited Nintendo DSi is slated to be released on sale April 5th at most major retailers such as bestbuy (you can pre order yours now). With cool new features such as a built in digital camera with 10 different lense options to minipulate your photos! You can also play music and surf the web on its wifi. The problems I can see are the talk about DSi using region locking for DSi-specific software and the DSi not being able to support playing of MP3′s (are you seriouse?). there are a few other new features such as hardware and physical enhancments, but at a cost point more then the new PSP 3000 and the only major feature that goes beyond the PSP (a camera) I think I am going to stick with the Play Station Portable.
What does DSI Have?:
1) Touch screen
2) 3.5″ screen (256×192)
3) SD Card slot (means cheaper media then psp)
4) Camera
5) WiFi and Browser
6) CPU One 67 MHz (ARM) and one 33 MHz ARM7TDMI2
7) Weight 214 Grams with battery
8) Battery life 9-14 hours depending on screen settings
What does PSP 3000 Have?:
1) Vivid antiglare screen
2) 4.5″ screen (480×272)
3) Memory stick Duo
4) Microphone with Skype (optional camera)
5) WiFi and Browser
6) CPU MIPS R4000-based; clocked from 1 to 333 MHz
7) Weight 189 Grams with battery
8) Battery life 4 hours on CD media, 8 hours on Memory stick depending on screen settings
